A structured Sixth Form that prepares you for university
Sixth Form students follow a structured timetable of live A Level lessons combined with independent study time and mentoring. Lessons are taught by subject specialists who encourage discussion, critical thinking and deeper engagement with topics.
University preparation is built into Sixth Form life — from UCAS guidance and personal statement support to university visits and subject-specific advice so students make informed, confident decisions about what comes next.
A Levels taught by subject specialists
Students study A Levels following the UK curriculum. Subject availability may vary and guidance is provided to help students choose subjects that suit their strengths, interests and future plans.
Support that helps students succeed
Sixth Form is about more than exams. These support pillars help students manage workload, develop independence and prepare for university and future pathways.
Lessons
A structured sixth form day
Sixth form students follow a structured timetable of live A Level lessons, combined with independent study time and mentoring support. The balance reflects the step up to post-16 study, helping students develop their time management and take responsibility for their learning.
Lessons are taught by subject specialists and focus on deeper understanding, discussion and exam preparation. Independent study is supported and guided, rather than left entirely to the student.
Classes
Small classes with support that feels personal
Small subject classes allow teachers to notice how each student is doing, give regular feedback and step in early if something is not clicking, helping students feel supported without pressure.
Teachers
Teaching that supports independent learning
A Level lessons are taught live by subject specialists who encourage discussion, critical thinking, and deeper engagement with topics. Teachers are available to answer questions, give feedback and help students build confidence as independent learners.
University preparation
Preparing for university and future pathways
University preparation is built into sixth form life. Students receive guidance on subject choices, university applications and long-term goals. Universities also visit to speak with students, helping them understand different options and routes.
Sixth Form fees
Sixth Form fees cover A Level study within a structured school environment, including live lessons, university and careers guidance, learning resources, pastoral support, exam entry and extra-curricular clubs. Fees are based on the number of subjects studied, with most students taking a full A Level programme of three to four subjects, while additional or stand-alone single subjects are also available.
Meet our Sixth Form team
Full Sixth Form programme or individual A Level courses
Students can study in Sixth Form in two different ways, depending on their goals and how they want to structure their learning.

Sixth Form programme
A full Sixth Form experience with a structured timetable, live lessons, mentoring, and support across the school year. This option suits students who want a complete school environment alongside their studies.

Individual A Level courses
Study a single A Level or a small number of subjects, which can work well alongside homeschool, other study arrangements or professional commitments.

EPQ and wider academic development
Sixth Form students have the opportunity to complete an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). The EPQ allows students to explore an area of interest in depth, develop research and independent study skills and strengthen university applications.
Students receive dedicated guidance throughout the EPQ process, from choosing a topic to managing research and presenting their work.
